On April 14th, 2021 Vanguard Scientific is hosting a 4-hour Webinar Event titled:

Inside the Industry: Meeting the Buyer Where They are Today & Understanding Where the Market is Going Tomorrow.

The Webinar Event is designed to give a current and multi-perspective understanding of the cannabinoid market within the US as well as the evolving global landscape. Consisting of five total segments featuring panels of recognized industry leaders with backgrounds in Compliance, Technology, CPG, Pharmaceuticals, and Investment, this event will seek to provide a foundational guide around what the industry actually looks like in 2021, and how we can best collaboratively leverage the post-COVID and post-Legalization landscape to capture the revenue opportunities of tomorrow while working together.

Arin Maercks

CEO

Xabis, Inc

Arin Maercks, has a breadth of experience in the healthcare space as a founding executive, operator, advisor and investor. His experience ranges from life sciences, medical technology, medical device, health and beauty and supplement products in aesthetic and dietary verticals and more recently Cannabis and Hemp on the technical services side of the industry when he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Xabis Inc. late last year. Leading up to his transition to his current role at Xabis, Arin served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Longeveron, a clinical biotechnology company with a focus on utilizing regenerative medicine technologies and stem cell therapies to address aging associated conditions and diseases. Arin responsibilities ranged from developing the commercialization strategy for the company's therapies to onboarding new global clinical and commercial partnerships.


Prior to his role at Longeveron, Arin served as an operating executive and later an advisor to CheckedUp, a point of care technology platform aimed to increase patient engagement. Arin was responsible for leading corporate development and the commercialization of CheckedUp’s beta platform in the ophthalmological market sector. Before joining CheckedUp, Arin served as COO of Lexington International, a medical device company focused on the development and manufacturing of laser instruments to treat primarily dermatological conditions. As COO, Arin was responsible for implementing a focused growth strategy scaling current channels, establishing new channel partnerships, international alliances and adding new product verticals to the Lexington network both domestic and globally.


Arin has been instrumental in several successful launches and exits of consumer focused companies, including Cosmetic Dermatology Inc,/ Dr. Brandt Skincare and GoSmile Inc. where he led operations of the companies from early stage through high growth and eventual acquisition by strategic partners. He also co-founded and is an advisor to Menscience Androceuticals, a men’s health and wellness company.


As an avid investor with a passion for medical and health innovation and disruptive technology, Arin has guided several companies in strategic direction, identifying market opportunities for growth and acquisition including Zesty Health (acquired by Square), Loudr, a digital music licensing platform (acquired by Spotify) and LaunchKey, a multifactor authentication platform (acquired by Iovation/TransUnion).


Arin received his BSBA, in Management and International Business from Appalachian State University in 1997 and his EMBA, from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2011.


In his spare time Arin enjoys spending time with his 3 children, Monroe, Maxine and Mason. He is an avid skier and scuba diver who enjoys traveling, endurance sports and fitness, live music and spending time on healthy pursuits.


Jhavid Mohseni

CEO

Aperon

Mr. Mohseni is a global entrepreneur with over 22 years in commodities, consumer goods and cannabis through management, sales, marketing, distribution, operations and strategy roles. Prior to founding Aperon, he managed producer/processor licenses and consulted for state, national and international cannabis companies for over five years. Mohseni is responsible for Aperon’s vision, key hires and driving growth.

Douglas J. Peckenpaugh is Group Editorial Director of Snack, Bakery, Cannabis, Meat, Candy and Food Safety for BNP Media. He has over two decades of publishing experience following the food industry from farm to fork, covering agriculture, ingredient processing, CPG and foodservice R&D, retail and restaurant menu trends, and retail grocery branding. He is a member and past president of the International Foodservice Editorial Council. Doug studied Professional and Creative Writing at Purdue University.
